Schwaller went on to lose 10-6 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Schwaller responded with a 6-3 win over Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED). Schwaller won 9-5 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE), then won 9-3 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) and 7-0 against Tobias Thune (Hvidovre, DEN). Schwaller went on to lose 7-4 against Korey Dropkin (Duluth, USA). Schwaller lost 5-3 to Retornaz where Schwaller responded with a 9-7 win over Soo-Hyuk Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Schwaller went on to lose 10-3 against Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER). Schwaller lost 9-7 to Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
