CHAMPION: Grandy/Janssen Wins 2021 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic

Clancy Grandy/Patrick Janssen (Pickering, ON) won 8-2 over Laura Neil/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) in the Final of the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic, held November 12 - 14, 2021 at the St. Thomas Curling Club in St. Thomas, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Grandy/Janssen won 8-5 over Kimberly Tuck/Wayne Tuck Jr. (Ilderton , ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; and won 9-8 over Catherine Liscumb/Chris Liscumb (Ilderton, ON) in the quarterfinals.

Grandy/Janssen finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grandy/Janssen defeated Michelle Butler/Jerry Butler (Cambridge, ON) 10-2, then won 7-2 against Lyndsey Wilson/Scott Dow (Palmerston , ON) and 8-3 against Joanne Tarvit/Brodie Tarvit (St Thomas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic Championship title, Grandy/Janssen earned 25.274 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN first prize cheque. For week 16 of the event schedule, Grandy/Janssen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 778th place on the World Ranking Standings with 7.848 total points. Grandy/Janssen ranks 393rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.000 points earned so far this season.
