To advance to the championship game, Mooibroek won 5-4 over Brandon Tippin (Owen Sound, ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada; and won 3-2 over Mark Kean (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada;
Mooibroek finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Shane Latimer (Ajax, ON) 9-3, then won 8-4 against Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON). Mooibroek went on to lose 6-5 against Alex Champ (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Mooibroek responded with a 7-3 win over Sam Steep (Seaforth, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic Championship title, Mooibroek earned 21.512 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. Mooibroek move up 44 spots after posting a net gain of 18.945 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 102nd overall with 37.311 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
