Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) run at the 2021 ATB Banff Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-0 loss to John Epping (Toronto, ON).

McEwen finished 4-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen lost 5-2 to Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 7-6 win over Parker Konschuh (Calgary, AB). McEwen went on to lose 7-4 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK). McEwen responded with a 6-1 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). McEwen won 5-4 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB), then won 10-6 against Kleiter in their final qualifying round match.

McEwen earned 24.733 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the ATB Banff Classic. McEwen move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 8.514 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 9th overall with 267.097 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McEwen ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 108.239 points earned so far this season.
