To advance to the championship game, Koe won 5-3 over Pat Simmons (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2021 IG Wealth Management Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 6-5 over Kody Hartung (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 IG Wealth Management Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada;
Koe finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) 7-5, then went on to lose 8-7 against Tyler Tardi (Surrey, BC). Koe responded with a 8-6 win over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK). Koe went on to lose 4-3 against Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Koe responded with a 5-3 win over Shaun Meachem (Swift Current, SK). Koe won 6-2 against Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR), then won 6-4 against Jacobson in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the IG Wealth Management Western Showdown Championship title, Koe earned 61.758 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 244.458 total points.
