Niclas Perem (Goteborgs, SWE) finished 1-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Perem lost 9-2 to Fredrik Nyman (Solleftea, SWE), droppimg another game, 6-3 to Johan Engqvist (Harnosand, SWE) where Perem responded with a 8-2 win over Mats Svedberg (Silverstenen, SWE). Perem went on to lose 8-3 against Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
