Ross Paterson (Stirling, SCO) won 6-5 over Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Championships, held February 21 - 27, 2022 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Paterson won 7-2 over James Craik (Forfar, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2022 Scottish Curling Championships in Dumfries, Scotland, Scotland;
 
Paterson finished 8-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paterson defeated Craik 7-6, then went on to lose 10-7 against Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO). Paterson responded with a 7-2 win over Cameron Bryce (Kelso, SCO). Paterson won 10-2 against Mark Watt (Perth, SCO). Paterson went on to lose 10-8 against Whyte. Paterson responded with a 7-5 win over Craik. Paterson won 10-5 against Strawhorn, then won 6-5 against Bryce and 10-2 against Watt. Paterson won 6-4 against Whyte in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Scottish Curling Championships Championship title, Paterson earned 23.299 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 152.039 total points. Paterson ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 90.960 points earned so far this season.
