Black finished 2-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Black lost 10-8 to Julia Goodin (Moncton, NB), then responded with a 7-6 win over Jessica Daigle (Halifax, NS). Black won 7-4 against Marlee Powers (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Superstore Lady Monctonian, Black take home 13.550 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 44th place overall with 69.772 total points.
