MacDougall went on to lose 8-5 against Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). MacDougall responded with a 6-4 win over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

MacDougall earned 7.390 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Superstore Monctonian Challenge, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 46.788 total points.
