James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) won 7-3 over Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in the Final of the Superstore Monctonian Challenge, held October 28 - 31, 2021 in Moncton, New Brunswick. To advance to the championship game, Grattan won 5-4 over Travis Colter (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2021 Superstore Monctonian Challenge in Moncton, New Brunswick; and won 7-2 over Owen Purcell (Upper Tantallon, NS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Grattan finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan defeated Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) 5-2, then went on to lose 7-4 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS). Grattan responded with a 8-4 win over Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB). Grattan went on to lose 8-3 against Manuel in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Superstore Monctonian Challenge Championship title, Grattan earned 18.475 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 61st place overall with 52.794 total points. Grattan ranks 79th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.475 points earned so far this season.
