Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) lost 7-4 to Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, held November 20 - 27, 2021 in Lillehammer, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 5-4 over Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2022 Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships in Lillehammer, Norway;
 
Hasselborg finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Kovaleva. Hasselborg lost 8-5 to Muirhead where Hasselborg responded with a 5-3 win over Stefania Constantini (Trentino, ITA). Hasselborg won 8-3 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI), then won 6-4 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) and 7-4 against Liisa Turmann (Tallinn, EST). Hasselborg won 7-6 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER), then won 7-3 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Hasselborg take home 53.593 world rankings points, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 33.167 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hasselborg ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 182.851 points earned so far this season.
