Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Cruz lost 7-6 to Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) where De Cruz responded with a 8-3 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). De Cruz went on to lose 7-2 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). De Cruz responded with a 5-4 win over Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA). De Cruz won 6-5 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). De Cruz went on to lose 7-1 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). De Cruz responded with a 12-2 win over Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). De Cruz won 7-6 against Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER) in their final qualifying round match.

De Cruz earned 17.576 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.4 after improving upon their best so far this season. De Cruz ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 120.756 points earned so far this season.
