Walstad went on to lose 6-5 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). Walstad responded with a 7-4 win over Sixten Totzek (Munich, GER). Walstad went on to lose 6-4 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Walstad lost 10-6 to Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) where Walstad responded with a 5-2 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Walstad won 9-4 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Walstad went on to lose 8-3 against Mouat in their final qualifying round match.
With their fourth place finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Walstad take home 28.121 world rankings points. Walstad move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 17.881 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 22nd overall with 153.154 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
