Yu Han (Beijing, CHN) finished 4-5 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Han lost 7-6 to Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN), droppimg another game, 7-5 to Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Han lost 8-4 to Tabitha Peterson (St. Paul, USA) where Han responded with a 9-6 win over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE). Han won 5-4 against Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR). Han went on to lose 10-2 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Han lost 11-5 to Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) where Han responded with a 8-4 win over Eve Muirhead (Stirling, UK). Han won 11-9 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN) in their final qualifying round match.

Han earned 25.960 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Han did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Han ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
