Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) won 5-4 over Bruce Mouat (Stirling, UK) in the Final of the Winter Olympics, held February 9 - 20, 2022 in Beijing, China. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 5-3 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) in the semifinals of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China;
 
Edin finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Xiu Yue Ma (Beijing, CHN) 6-4, then won 7-4 against John Shuster (Chaska, USA) and 9-3 against Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA). Edin won 7-4 against Gushue, then won 6-4 against Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) and 7-5 against Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS). Edin won 8-3 against Mikkel Krause (Hvidovre, DEN). Edin went on to lose 7-6 against Mouat. Edin lost 10-8 to Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Winter Olympics Championship title, Edin earned 108.591 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 408.911 total points. Edin ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 332.703 points earned so far this season.
