Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI) won 10-4 over Marie Kaldvee/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) in the Final of the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz, held November 11 - 14, 2021 in Lodz, Poland. To advance to the championship game, Rupp/Wunderlin won 6-4 over Zuzana Paulova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2021 ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz in Lodz, Poland; and won 9-2 over Oona Kauste/Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the quarterfinals.
Rupp/Wunderlin finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rupp/Wunderlin defeated Marta Szeliga-Frynia/Pawel Frynia (Lodz, POL) 8-3, then won 8-1 against Kaldvee/Lill and 8-6 against Dorottya Palancsa/Zsolt Kiss (Budapest, HUN). Rupp/Wunderlin won 6-3 against Daina Barone/Arnis Veidemanis (Riga, LAT). Rupp/Wunderlin went on to lose 7-3 against Kateryna Yakymets/Mykhailo Pleskanka (Kiev, UKR) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the ISS Mixed Doubles Lodz Championship title, Rupp/Wunderlin earned 42.836 world rankings points along with the $1,213CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 12.84 after improving upon their best so far this season. Rupp/Wunderlin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 138.898 points earned so far this season.
