Palancsa/Kiss finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Palancsa/Kiss defeated Lucia Orokocka/Pavol Pitonak (Bratislava, SVK) 8-4, then won 13-2 against Oihane Unanue/Mikel Unanue (San-Sebastian, ESP) and 9-1 against Vera Kalocsai/Kristof Czermann (Budapest, HUN). Palancsa/Kiss won 9-5 against Marta Szeliga-Frynia/Pawel Frynia (Lodz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.
