Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) lost 7-2 to Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Alberta Curling Series: Leduc, held August 20 - 22, 2021 in Leduc, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Sturmay won 8-2 over Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2021 Alberta Curling Series: Leduc in Leduc, Alberta;

Sturmay finished 4-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Nathan Molberg (St. Albert, AB) 8-3, then won 2-1 against Michael Dahms (Airdrie, AB) and 6-5 against Rob Maksymetz (Grande Prairie, AB). Sturmay won 6-2 against Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
