Watling won 7-4 against Jones, then won 9-7 against Tracy Fleury (East St. Paul, MB). Watling went on to lose 10-2 against Zacharias. Watling responded with a 10-7 win over Kristy McDonald (Winnipeg, MB). Watling went on to lose 7-5 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
