Mitchell Schut (Cornwall, PEI) finished 2-6 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schut lost 5-4 to Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 9-3 to Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK) where Schut responded with a 9-3 win over Rajan Dalrymple (Oromocto, NB). Schut went on to lose 4-2 against Nathan Young (St. John's, NL). Schut responded with a 8-4 win over Aaron Van Ryssel (Springfield, MB). Schut went on to lose 7-6 against Adam Fenton (New Westminster, BC). Schut lost 7-6 to Nick Mosher (Halifax, NS). Schut lost 8-4 to Dylan Niepage (Guelph, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Schut earned 3.230 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 36 of the event schedule, Schut did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Schut ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
