Landan Rooney (Whitby, ON) won 10-4 over Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Canadian U21 Junior Mens Championship, held March 25 - April 1, 2022 in Stratford, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Rooney won 8-4 over Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2022 Canadian U21 Junior Mens Championship in Stratford, Ontario; and won 10-6 over Nathan Young (St. John's, NL) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Canadian U21 Junior Mens Championship in Stratford, Ontario;

Rooney finished 7-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rooney defeated Dallas Burgess (Kakabeka Falls, NONT) 5-3, then went on to lose 7-6 against Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB). Rooney responded with a 7-3 win over Nathen Pomedli (Saskatoon, SK). Rooney won 6-5 against Justin Runciman (Edmonton, AB), then won 9-4 against Connor Deane (New Westminster, BC) and 11-2 against Mason MacNeil (Inuvik, NT). Rooney won 8-2 against Sean O'Leary (St. John's, NL), then won 10-5 against Dimitri Audibert (Riverbend, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Canadian U21 Junior Mens Championship Championship title, Rooney earned 32.300 world rankings points. For week 36 of the event schedule, Rooney did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rooney ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
