Adam Fenton (New Westminster, BC) finished 3-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenton lost 8-6 to Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) where Fenton responded with a 9-4 win over Aaron Van Ryssel (Springfield, MB). Fenton went on to lose 7-4 against Nick Mosher (Halifax, NS). Fenton lost 6-3 to Dylan Niepage (Guelph, ON) where Fenton responded with a 7-6 win over Mitchell Schut (Cornwall, PEI). Fenton won 10-9 against Rajan Dalrymple (Oromocto, NB). Fenton went on to lose 8-2 against Nathan Young (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Fenton earned 4.845 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 212 spots the World Ranking Standings into 243rd place overall with 4.845 total points. Fenton ranks 242nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.845 points earned so far this season.
