Tao won 6-4 against Clark, then won 9-4 against Clark in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup - Qualifier Championship title, Tao earned 2.250 world rankings points. For week 19 of the event schedule, Tao did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tao ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
