After advancing directly to the championship game, Rachel Workin (Fargo, ND) lost 5-1 to Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN) in the Final of the Curve US Open of Curling Contender, held August 27 - 29, 2021 at the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, United States.

Workin finished 4-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Workin defeated Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-5 against Delaney Strouse (Minneapolis, MN). Workin responded with a 11-1 win over Bella Hagenbuch (Villa, IL). Workin won 7-2 against Madison Bear (Chaska, MN, MN), then won 5-4 against Rhyme in their final qualifying round match.
