In their opening game, Sahaidak/Lott defeated Clancy Grandy/Patrick Janssen (Pickering, ON) 8-2, then won 8-5 against Brittany Tran/Aaron Sluchinski (Red Deer, AB). Sahaidak/Lott went on to lose 7-3 against Jocelyn Peterman/Brett Gallant (Winnipeg, MB). Sahaidak/Lott responded with a 1-0 win over Joanne Courtney/Darren Moulding (Edmonton, AB). Sahaidak/Lott won 11-1 against Angela Dale/Peter Van Strien (Iqaluit, NU), then won 7-2 against Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
