Karwacki/Samagalski went on to lose 7-3 against Val Sweeting/Marc Kennedy (St Paul, AB). Karwacki/Samagalski lost 8-6 to Shannon Birchard/Catlin Schneider (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
