Hartung finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartung defeated Aaron Wyville (London, ON) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-5 against Dave Buchanan (Winnipeg, MB). Hartung responded with a 6-3 win over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK). Hartung won 6-0 against Canada's Danny Sherrard, then won 7-1 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC) and 3-0 against Kyle Doering (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Hartung ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
