Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, CAN) run at the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-3 loss to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). of the 2022 Tim Hortons Brier in Lethbridge, Alberta;

Bottcher finished 7-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) 5-4, then won 6-4 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) and 11-4 against Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI). Bottcher won 8-6 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK), then won 10-4 against Thomas Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK) and 8-7 against Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Bottcher went on to lose 5-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Bottcher responded with a 6-3 win over Nathan Young (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Bottcher earned 53.416 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Tim Hortons Brier, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 9th place overall with 201.748 total points. Bottcher ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 201.748 points earned so far this season.
