To advance to the championship game, Zharkova won 6-4 over Sofia Orazalina (Moscow, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2021 Russian Women's B Curling Championship in Sochi, Russia;
 
Zharkova finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zharkova defeated Diana Margarian (St. Petersburg, RUS) 7-1, then won 10-3 against Anastasia Borisova (Moscow, RUS) and 5-3 against Stoyarosova. Zharkova went on to lose 5-4 against Orazalina. Zharkova responded with a 8-2 win over Sofia Rumiantseva (Dmitrov, RUS). Zharkova won 10-1 against Ksenia Novikova (Moscow, RUS), then won 8-2 against Anna Samoilik (Krasnoyarsk, RUS). Zharkova went on to lose 11-8 against Alisa Miroshnichenko (Kaliningrad, RUS). Zharkova responded with a 10-2 win over Victoria Druzhinina (Chelyabinsk, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
