Deschene/Horgan finished 2-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deschene/Horgan defeated Lyndsey Wilson/Scott Dow (Palmerston , ON) 10-6, then won 10-2 against Ling-Yue Hung/Jason Chang (Hong Kong, HKG). Deschene/Horgan went on to lose 8-7 against McLaughlin/Horgan in their final qualifying round match.
 
Deschene/Horgan earned 10.096 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 10.096 total points.
