Keira McLaughlin/Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, ON) won 7-3 over Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship, held February 18 - 20, 2022 at the Wingham Golf and Curling Club in Wingham, Canada. To advance to the championship game, McLaughlin/Horgan won 6-5 over Kimberly Tuck/Wayne Tuck Jr. (Strathroy, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship in Wingham, Ontario, Canada; and won 3-2 over Abby Deschene/Jake Horgan (Sudbury, ON) in the quarterfinals.
McLaughlin/Horgan finished 3-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McLaughlin/Horgan defeated Ling-Yue Hung/Jason Chang (Hong Kong, HKG) 10-4, then won 10-9 against Grace Holyoke/Thomas Ryan (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) and 8-7 against Deschene/Horgan in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Ontario Mixed Doubles Tour Championship Championship title, McLaughlin/Horgan earned 25.241 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 25.24 after improving upon their best so far this season. McLaughlin/Horgan ranks 55th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 34.416 points earned so far this season.
