Emilie Desjardins/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) won 9-2 over Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Valleyfield, QC) in the Final of the GOLDLINE Sherbrooke Mixed Doubles, held November 19 - 21, 2021 at the Sherbooke Curling Club in Sherbrooke, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Desjardins/Desjardins won 8-5 over Laurie St-Georges/Felix Asselin (Laval, QC) in the semifinals of the 2021 GOLDLINE Sherbrooke Mixed Doubles in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada; and won 8-1 over Helena Jauron/Rene Morissette (Estrie, QC) in the quarterfinals.
Desjardins/Desjardins finished 3-0 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Desjardins/Desjardins defeated Dany Roy/Bruno Sonier (Sherbrooke, QC) 7-5, then won 9-1 against Karen Bedard-Lothrop/Todd Rivett (Estrie, QC) and 11-5 against Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (Stratford, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the GOLDLINE Sherbrooke Mixed Doubles Championship title, Desjardins/Desjardins earned 21.762 world rankings points along with the $580CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 12.711 after improving upon their best so far this season. Desjardins/Desjardins ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.432 points earned so far this season.
