Lauren Horton/Pierre-Luc Morissette (Québec, QC) won 8-6 over Emilie Desjardins/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) in the Final of the GOLDLINE Victoria Mixed Doubles, held December 10 - 12, 2021 at the Victoria Curling Club in Quebec, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Horton/Morissette won 7-5 over Brenda Nicholls/Dan deWaard (Quebec, QC) in the semifinals of the 2021 GOLDLINE Victoria Mixed Doubles in Quebec, Quebec, Canada; and won 8-3 over Audrey Laplante/Jasmin Gibeau (Thurso, QC) in the quarterfinals.
Horton/Morissette finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horton/Morissette defeated Marianne Girard/Marc-Alexandre Charest-Dion (Québec, QC) 9-8, then won 7-4 against Genevieve Frappier/Simon Hebert (Montréal, QC) and 9-8 against Cyntia Plouffe/Stephane Paquette (Outaouais, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the GOLDLINE Victoria Mixed Doubles Championship title, Horton/Morissette earned 25.088 world rankings points along with the $840CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 12.544 after improving upon their best so far this season. Horton/Morissette ranks 51st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 28.486 points earned so far this season.
