To advance to the championship game, Kim won 5-4 over Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in the semifinals of the 2021 Alberta Curling Series: Saville Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-7 over Kerri Einarson (Gimli, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Alberta Curling Series: Saville Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Kim finished 4-0 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) 10-4, then won 7-3 against Jessie Hunkin (North Battleford, SK) and 6-2 against Elysa Crough (Edmonton , AB). Kim won 5-3 against Mackenzie Zacharias (Altona, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Alberta Curling Series: Saville Shoot-Out Championship title, Kim earned 49.948 world rankings points along with the $5,746CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 158.279 total points. Kim ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 49.948 points earned so far this season.
