Laycock went on to lose 7-4 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Laycock responded with a 7-2 win over Sebastien Robillard (Maple Ridge, BC). Laycock went on to lose 8-7 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
