Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB) won 9-2 over Rachel Kaatz (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final Watling advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the MCT Showdown, held November 24 - 26, 2023 at the East St. Paul Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada.
 
Watling finished 4-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watling defeated Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB) 5-4, then won 8-4 against Kaatz and 6-4 against Emma Jensen (Winnipeg, MB). Watling won 8-4 against Lisa McLeod (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the MCT Showdown Championship title, Watling earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 18 of the event schedule, Watling did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 45th to 46th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 71.375 total points. Watling ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.000 points earned so far this season.
