Mesloe finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mesloe defeated Liudmila Privivkova (Moscow, RUS) 7-3, then won 6-5 against Tene Link (Tallinn, EST) and 9-3 against Agi Szentannai (Budapest, HUN).
