In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Justin McBride (Anaheim, CA) 7-4, then won 8-1 against Bob Leclair (Tempe, AZ) and 6-3 against Jordan Peters (Winnipeg, MB). Sluchinski won 7-4 against Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN). Sluchinski went on to lose 5-3 against Sturmay in their final qualifying round match.
 
Sluchinski earned 14.875 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic presented by The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen, remaining in 21st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.125 after improving upon their best so far this season.
