Kayla MacMillan (Vancouver, BC) lost 6-4 to Amber Holland (Kronau, SK) in the Final of the DEKALB Superspiel, held December 3 - 6, 2021 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. To advance to the championship game, MacMillan won 6-5 over Chelsea Carey (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2021 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 7-5 over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
MacMillan finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacMillan defeated Carey 8-5, then won 5-2 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-6 against Irene Schori (Langenthal, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the DEKALB Superspiel, MacMillan take home 26.255 world rankings points along with the $4,300CDN prize, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 58th place overall with 61.254 total points. MacMillan ranks 53rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 41.927 points earned so far this season.
