Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) won 7-3 over Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Original 16 Tour Bonspiel, held November 12 - 14, 2021 in Calgary, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Tardi won 5-4 over Aaron Sluchinski (Red Deer, AB) in the semifinals of the 2021 Original 16 Tour Bonspiel in Calgary, Alberta; and won 8-3 over Mark Watt (Perth, SCO) in the quarterfinals.
Tardi finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi lost 4-3 to Fredrik Nyman (Solletfeå, SWE), then responded with a 8-6 win over Jamie King (Calgary, AB). Tardi went on to lose 5-4 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB). Tardi responded with a 7-1 win over Bert Martin (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Original 16 Tour Bonspiel Championship title, Tardi earned 25.168 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. Tardi move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 8.438 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 21st overall with 149.784 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Tardi ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 74.621 points earned so far this season.
