Jacques finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacques lost 7-6 to Tracy Steinke (Dawson Creek, BC), then responded with a 6-4 win over Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB). Jacques won 7-4 against Sluchinski, then won 6-4 against Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
