Zack Shurtleff (Toronto, ON) lost 10-9 to Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Championship, held March 11 - 15, 2020 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Shurtleff won 9-7 over Charlie Richard (London, ON) in the semifinals
 
Shurtleff finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shurtleff defeated Carter Babij (Vermillion, AB) 8-7, then won 7-5 against van Amsterdam. Shurtleff went on to lose 10-5 against Andrew Manson (Calgary, AB). Shurtleff responded with a 7-3 win over Kurtwood McGuire (Thunder Bay, ON). Shurtleff won 7-3 against Nicolas Oake (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-2 against Richard and 9-5 against Jacob Reid (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Championship, Shurtleff take home 11.756 world rankings points. For week 34 of the event schedule, Shurtleff did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Shurtleff ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
