Sturmay won 8-5 against Ryan Grabarczyk (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

With their third place finish at the USPORTS - University Curling Championships, Sturmay earn 12.718 world rankings points. For week 34 of the event schedule, Sturmay did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 29th to 31st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 129.995 total points.
