In their opening game, Gauthier defeated Jared Kolomaya (Winnipeg, MB) 7-0, then won 6-5 against Ian McMillan (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-3 against Adam Kingsbury (Ottawa, ON). Gauthier won 9-2 against Jordan Tardi (Langley, BC). Gauthier went on to lose 6-5 against Dunstone in their final qualifying round match.
