Thompson/Lowe Reaches 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship Semifinals

Stephanie Thompson/Matt Lowe (Unionville, ON) run at the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-1 loss to Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON). of the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship in Brockville, Ontario, Canada; Thompson/Lowe advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-5 win over Melissa Foster/Scott Foster (Oakville, ON). of the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship in Brockville, Ontario, Canada;

Thompson/Lowe finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson/Lowe defeated Catherine Liscumb/Chris Liscumb (Ilderton, ON) 7-2, then won 10-4 against Taylor Longo/Christopher Inglis (Belleville, ON). Thompson/Lowe went on to lose 7-4 against Katie Mooradian/Dave Pallen (St. Catharines, ON). Thompson/Lowe responded with a 7-6 win over Mandy Gebhardt/Andrew Fairfull (Guelph, ON). Thompson/Lowe won 10-4 against Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Wingham, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Thompson/Lowe earned 13.919 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship. For week 32 of the event schedule, Thompson/Lowe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thompson/Lowe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
