In their opening game, MacDonald/Callander lost 13-1 to Eve Muirhead/Bobby Lammie (Stirling, SCO), droppimg another game, 5-4 to Sophie Jackson/Hammy McMillan Jr. (Stirling, SCO) where MacDonald/Callander responded with a 11-1 win over Rachael Dakers/Chris Morris (Edinburgh, SCO). MacDonald/Callander went on to lose 9-1 against Alice Spence/Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

MacDonald/Callander earned 1.644 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
