Christensen/Shuster finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Christensen/Shuster defeated Maryland's Katherine Gourianova/Eli Clawson 7-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Alexandra Agre/Derrick McLean (Chaska, MN). Christensen/Shuster lost 6-5 to Peterson/Polo where Christensen/Shuster responded with a 7-3 win over Becca Hamilton/Matt Hamilton (McFarland, WI). Christensen/Shuster won 8-2 against Kim Rhyme/Jason Smith (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the USA Mixed Doubles National Championship, Christensen/Shuster take home 30.175 world rankings points, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 30.174 after improving upon their best so far this season. Christensen/Shuster ranks 49th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 48.510 points earned so far this season.
