Yuya Takigahira (Nayoro, JPN) finished 4-4 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Takigahira defeated Junpei Kanda (Tokyo, JPN) 6-3, then won 10-5 against Hiroki Yoshioka (Okayama, JPN). Takigahira went on to lose 8-2 against Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Karuizawa, JPN). Takigahira lost 12-2 to Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Takigahira lost 7-2 to Yuta Matsumura (Kitami, JPN) where Takigahira responded with a 6-3 win over Kotaro Noguchi (Miyagi, JPN). Takigahira went on to lose 6-2 against Ryutaro Tani (Hokkaido, JPN). Takigahira responded with a 11-5 win over Kantaro Kawano (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Takigahira earned 12.231 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Japan National Championship. For week 30 of the event schedule, Takigahira did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Takigahira ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
