Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) won 7-3 over Mike Badiuk (Geraldton, NONT) in the Final Jacobs advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Championship, held January 29 - February 2, 2020 in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.
Jacobs finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Ryan Sayer (New Liskeard, NONT) 10-4, then won 10-4 against Badiuk and 9-2 against Nicholas Lemieux (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Jacobs won 8-3 against Charlie Robert (Sault Ste Marie, NONT), then won 8-3 against Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NONT) and 9-2 against Jeff Brown (North Bay, NONT). Jacobs won 7-3 against Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Championship Championship title, Jacobs earned 10.688 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.924 after improving upon their best so far this season. Jacobs ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 460.083 points earned so far this season.
