Sandy MacEwan (Sudbury, NONT) run at the 2020 Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-5 loss to Mike Badiuk (Geraldton, NONT). of the 2020 Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Championship in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario;
MacEwan finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacEwan defeated Nicholas Lemieux (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) 9-5, then won 9-1 against Charlie Robert (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) and 8-3 against Badiuk. MacEwan won 7-1 against Ryan Sayer (New Liskeard, NONT). MacEwan went on to lose 8-3 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). MacEwan lost 7-6 to Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT) where MacEwan responded with a 7-2 win over Jeff Brown (North Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
MacEwan earned 6.056 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Northern Ontario Men's Provincial Championship. For week 28 of the event schedule, MacEwan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacEwan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
